The type and concentration of the contaminant, the relative humidity and the volume of air being cleaned determine the life of a filter. Unfortunately there is no indicator light on the filter that tells you when it is ready to be replaced. The filter lifespan is generally from 1 to 1.5 years depending on the environment. Filter lifespan is greatly reduced with humidity higher than 70%. Experience with one filter will give you an expectation for future filters in your particular application.
